This publication should have been noticed earlier; but, as it is the intention of the Medico-Chirurgical Reviewers not to let any work of importance pass without delineating its contents to the public, they take this opportunity of ushering Mr. Hill's performance into the medical world, though it is with some trepidation, for Mr. Hill is a very learned gentleman, and a sturdy champion of the opinions he has embraced. The object of the work before us appears, from the author's own words, to be no less than that of acquiring the gratifying title of " friend to the human
